SBB Preview using hours of battery life in background

Running iOS beta 15 (Public Beta 8-build 19A5340a) and SBB Preview v11.15.0(186)

Battery history shows that SBB Preview has run nearly 15 hours in the background over the past 10 days, and through the night .  This is obviously not during a time when I am travelling or using the app for transit.

Why is this so high?  It's by far the most draining app on my battery life for no clear reason.

Do you close the App when you are not actively using it?

Correct.  Because the app turns the brightness on full when displaying Travelcards I diligently close it immediately after use.

In fact, it had been nearly three weeks since I'd last opened the app when I noticed this issue.
