Refund of ticket

QianJia

Hello,
Good morning! I booked a SBB train ticket on Omio app several days ago, but the policy changed yesterday that people from UK can not access Switzerland. Could I return my ticket and get refund as it is force majeure?

Dear @QianJia

Thank you very  much for you query.

If you buy a ticket from a third party (not the SBB directly), you have to contact them directly to ask for a refund.

Thank you for your understanding and have a nice day.

Regards,

Hi , i also bought tickets via SBB directly but need to cancel the trip because the quarantine requirement for UK travellers.

When i tried to refund from the mobile app, I was told that i will be charged the processing fee, is there a way to waive the processing fee because my trip was disrupted by Covid policy? Thank you,

Hi @JL2

Our trains continue to circulate and the entire public transport offer will not be restricted due to the corona pandemic. We therefore continue to refund or cancel tickets in accordance with the current fare regulations and contract conditions and cannot grant any goodwill (not even in individual cases).

Refunds are not free of charge; after all, they are always associated with costs for return and post-processing.

The fee of 10 Swiss francs covers our work expenses.

Best wishes. EllenvS.
