Betreff: Juniorkarte mit Swisspass verbinden jetzt möglich

Mitarbeiter am SBB-Schalter hat mir soeben mitgeteilt, dass das Verbinden der Junior-Karten/Swisspass der Kinder nun seit kurzem möglich sei. Er konnte mir aber nicht erklären, wie ich vorgehen muss. Die Einbindung in meinen Swisspass sei aber möglich.

Wo kann ich das Vorgehen sehen um dies nun endlich abschliessen zu können?

Ich war gestern mit einem Kind unterwegs für welches ich eine Kinder-Mitfahrkarte habe. In der Kontrolle hat es problemlos funktioniert. Ich zeigte dem Zugbegleiter meinen SwissPass und er konnte die Kinder-Mitfahrkarte ebenfalls auslesen.

Du musst gar nichts weiter unternehmen. Die Juniorkarte wurde automatisch beim Kauf auch auf deinem SwissPass (und dem der Mutter, falls sie auch einen hat) aufgeschaltet. Dies geschieht automatisch.

few weeks ago I was told , that for inspection presentation of adult physical ID is a must together with Junior Travelcard on adult SBB Mobile
Is that true?

If you have the Junior Travel Card added on the adult's Swiss Pass account (conseqently added to your SBB Mobile app), you must carry physically with you either the child's ID or the child's SwissPass.

Furthermore: using the SBB Mobile app requires you to have your own Swiss Pass or ID physically with you.

the reason to post this topic here is that I get different opinions from many different SBB sources and staff (seems still not clear to them)

Would be good SBB management to take better care for training and learning of the staff and information sources

If you have a travelcard on the SwissPass and have bought a ticket that is linked to it, you can simply show the ticket in the app. The prerequisite for this is that you are logged in with the SwissPass login and were also logged in at the time of purchase. Once you’ve done this, there’s usually no need to show your SwissPass card.

2.  Seit die Junior-Karte und die Kinder-Mitfahrkarte auf dem SwissPass referenziert sind, häufen sich Reaktionen, welche das Handling mit dem SwissPass des Kindes bemängeln. Nun hat die öV-Branche Abhilfe geschaffen. Ab sofort können die beiden Angebote auch über den SwissPass oder SwissPass Mobile der Begleitperson vorgewiesen werden.

The child's SwissPass no longer needs to be carried with you. The extension is automatic, customers do not have to do anything. Accompanying persons can still check in their accounts on swisspass.ch whether there is a link to a Junior Card or Children’s Co-travelcard.

Sorry for the confusion.

The conditions for the use of tickets on SwissPass Mobile have not changed and all employees should be aware of them even though your experience is different. I just had another training on this topic in November. From my point of view, the confusion stems more from the fact that asking for an ID is optional for the ticket inspectors, while the tariff acutally requires users of SwissPass Mobile to carry an ID or the SwissPass with them at any time. And, this optional identification check may imply with the client that no identification is required at all.

The Tarif 600 is the legal base of all public transport ticket offers in Switzerland and valid for all licensed transportation companies; this is is what the Tarif 600 reads:

4.9.9 Für die Kontrolle von SwissPass Mobile besteht Ausweispflicht. Die Kundinnen und Kunden sind verpflichtet, bei der Nutzung von SwissPass Mobile einen gültigen amtlichen Ausweis (z.B. Reisepass, Identitätskarte, Führerausweis) oder eine auf den/die Reisenden ausgestellte SwissPass Karte auf sich zu tragen.

4.9.10 Die Reisenden können während der Fahrausweiskontrolle auf Verlangen des Kontrollpersonals jederzeit und ohne Begründung angewiesen werden, einen amtlichen Ausweis oder die SwissPass Karte vorzuweisen und dadurch ihre Identität zu bestätigen.

The wording there’s usually no need to show your SwissPass card on the SBB website does not conclude that you are completely exempt from the identification obligation; the staff can still ask for an ID, this being either the ID card, passport, or SwissPass, what ever you have got with you.

Now for the children, ticket inspectors can refrain from checking the children's SwissPass or ID provided the parent and the relation between the parent and the child can be clearly identified.

Diese Thematik ist zwar nicht in meiner "Hoheit" ich weiss aber, dass diese Verknüpfung automatisch passiert und weiss von anderen Kund:innen, dass es im Zug klappt. Die Kundenbegleiter:innen sehen die Verknüpfung auf dem Kontrollgerät. Der genaue technische Hintergrund / Ablauf ist mir auch nicht klar. Mache mich hier noch schlau. Wir von SBB Mobile bauen voraussichtlich bis Ende Jahr noch eine entsprechende Visualisierung in der App ein, damit du auch in der App die verknüpften Junior-/Kindermitfahrkarten sehen kannst.
