I have a ticket for Monday next week from Germany to Switzerland. Due to personal reasons I will have to not take the trip. In the same trip, I intend to transport my bike and have obtained the relevant tickets from DB and SBB respectively.
Now that I will not be on the train, I wonder if there is a way to salvage the bike part of the trip, at least. By this I mean I may be able to arrange for the bike to be loaded onto the train in Germany, but I will need the assistance of the train crew to get it to un/load as needed to get it to my target station. I'm aware that on the SBB side a similar mechanism for bike transport already exists, and I'm happy to purchase its ticket on top of what I have if needed, but on the DB side there's only manned bike bookings so I'm not sure.
The train starting in Germany goes to Switzerland, so there will be no unloading off the train needed within Germany.
If this is possible I would love to be pointed to the right point of contact to communicate the details.
