Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Is it possible to create a stopover when researching itineraries on the SBB app? For example, I am going from Lausanne to St Gallen and I want to stop for 60 minutes in Zurich. It is possible to do this on the normal website but I have not found a way to do it on the app
Hi @fbelite1
The principle of the app is that you have the flexibility to check our timetable wherever you are. In this way, you can also be informed about the current situation of the desired connection ( for example, in the event of delays, cancellations, sudden platform changes, etc.).
So, you can plan your entire journey in advance, including the 60 minutes for the stopover, using the timetable on www.sbb.ch, or you can simply check the next better train connection to St. Gallen during your stopover in Zurich with the sbb app.
Have a great day. EllenvS.

Ok, so basically it is not possible to book a trip with a timed stopover on the app, but it is possible to do so on the website. A pity, because it can't be that difficult to incorporate that element into the app. It is a bit similar to the multistop itinerary offered by the airlines (as opposed to one ways, or round trips).
All the same, the SBB app is excellent and very dependable. I can even show my GA travel card when not connected!
