GA travelcard

New Author

Dear all,

Today I bought a GA TRAVELCARD and I was told that bus rides where included in the card. Apparently not, I had to pay half the price.
Could you explain to me a little bit more about the coverage of the GA TRAVELCARD?
Also, if I want to go from Thun to Milano centrale, is that included in the card?

Hello @Maleb

With the general season ticket you simply get on public transport. But there are exceptions. Where you can travel for free with your GA and where you have to pay a surcharge is defined in the GA area of validity.

You can find an overview of the GA area of validity in the PDF that you can download under Downloads at https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/railpasses/ga/ga-travelcard-area-validity.html. On one side, you will find the names of the transport companies where you can travel free of charge with your GA travelcard and where you have to pay a surcharge. And on the other side is a map of Switzerland showing the corresponding public transport lines.

I wish you a good journey.
