Hello. I'm planning my trip for next September. Almost all will be in Switzerland but we're thinking about dipping down into Lombardy Italy for two days using the Palm Express Postbus or the Swiss Postbus that goes to Tirano where we'd pick up the Bernina Express. Sometimes the Postbuses can be crowded and difficult to have even a piece of 52cm luggage and there will be four of us. Is this the case with these two busses? I see that we can take advantage of luggage shipment from station to station and understand how that works. Just trying to weigh our options.
One other related question. I see that reservations are needed for the Palm Express. Do we need reservations for the bus that goes to Tirano if we choose that route? Thank you for your help.
