Hello @Pavol

You can always check directly on the SBB- timetable, in which trains you are allowed to bring your bike with. For that you just have to specify the option "carriage of byciles required" under "advanced search".

By travelling with a InterCity you may also need a previous reservation for your bike. For more Information, please take a look on this link : Carriage of bikes on the train | SBB

Hi,

I was told on the weekend you need a bike reservation for a specific train. Is that correct? Until now I only found out the a bike ticket is actually a half -fare ticket.

Thanks.

Hello @Pavol

Reservations are not required on InterRegio and Regional trains. For short distances, a normal ticket in 2nd class with half-fare reduction can be purchased. The bike day ticket costs CHF 14. You can find all information in the above mentioned link of EllenvS.

Kind regards,
