Which route is more attractive? Via Visp or via Lausanne?

Hi,

I plan to travel from Basel to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. I have two routes to choose from. While the first and last section will be identical, the section between Bern and Martigny can either go through Visp or through Lausanne.

Which route is more attractive: Bern - Visp - Martigny or Bern - Lausanne - Martigny?

It's a question of taste! The landscape is beautiful on both sides (https://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/destinations/regions-switzerland/lavaux.html) 
Via Visp, you have to cross a 34.6-kilometre-long railway tunnel (https://www.bls.ch/en/freizeit-und-ferien/events/fuehrung-loetschberg-basistunnel)
