Travel from Ticino to Lake Como & back

Hello!  We are fully vaccinated American travelers spending two weeks in Switzerland.  If it is safe, we would like to take a 2 day side trip to Lake Como from Ticino via train.  How is Covid related documentation checked going into Italy?  How is it checked returning to Switzerland?
