Trains from Grindelwald to Jungfrau options

Dear All

I am planning to visit Jungfrau from Grindelwald. I will stay in Grindelwald. However, I found train ticket options which confused me. I hold no Swisspass.

1. Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch from www.jungfrau.ch/shop, cost 95 CHF (single)

2. Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch from www.sbb.ch, cost 47.50 CHF (single)

My question is that are both tickets the same? Please help me to figure this out. Your answers are really appreciated.Looking forward to hear from you guys.

Cheers!

Hello @lerdpromwin,

The price that you see on our internet website is the price for a person with a half fare card (CHF 95 full price and CHF 47.50 half price).

Greetings,

@SarahI

Thanks for your answer, btw what is the "half fare card" and how to get one?

Many thanks

@SarahI

Thank you so much Sarah but one more question. Is the Swiss Half Fare Card valid for one adult only? or Can it be used to purchase tickets for others as well?

Many thanks

Hello @lerdpromwin,

This pass is personal, it’s only valid for the person indicated on the card.
