Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
Hello. I'm planning my trip from Milan Centrale station to Zermatt station on 22nd August 2023.
I have checked the SBB website for the timetable, and found that the journey takes 6-7hours.
I understand originally there are trains takes only 3-4 hours in total (1 transfer at Visp), so can
someone advise that there are no trains available (within 3-4 hours journey) for this period?
I searched other dates and it seems that usual trains are not available from 20th August to
10th September (due to engineering works...?)
Many thanks guys for your help!!
Hello @fruppyz-1227
Your questions pop-ups frequently in our community.
The reason is the timetable change occurring in Italy in June. So far, not all connections have been published by the Italian railways, Trenitalia, and this is the reason why you can't find all connections. Simply try again. You could check the Trenitalia website, too: https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html
Kind regards,
Roland

Dear Roland,
Many thanks for your reply above. I understand that the timetable is not complete yet.
I was just wondering only certain periods (i.e. end of Aug to middle of Sep) I cannot find the fast connections...
Anyway I will keep my eye on the SBB and/or TreniItalia website.
