Swiss Travel Pass and Glacier Express

Hi,

i am planning to buy a Swiss Travel Pass. I see that this is also valid for the Glacier Express (St. Moritz to Zermatt) but that "surcharges and/or reservation fees may apply". I understand there is a seat reservation fee, but can anyone please answer if there is also a surcharge?

Thank you for your query. 

A surcharge is payable in full on the Glacier Express. The reservation fee is included. The surcharge on the Glacier Express is per person per direction:
Winter 19.12.2020 - 07.05.2021
on all bookable long and partial routes CHF 39.00
on short-haul routes* CHF 29.00

Summer 08.05.2021 - 24.10.2021
on all bookable routes CHF 49.00
on short-haul routes* CHF 39.00

The following routes are considered short-haul and can be booked as follows or in the reverse direction:

Winter 19.12.2020 - 07.05.2021: Trains 903 / 902
Summer 08.05.2021 - 24.10.2021: Trains 905 / 904
St. Moritz - Chur
Chur - Andermatt
Andermatt - Brig
Brig - Zermatt
