Hello and welcome to the SBB Community. What would you like to do?
We will be travelling from Zurich to Mount Pilatus for a one day outing. I have checked the pricing list on the Pilatus Luzern website and have not been able to figure out the pricing. We are considering purchasing the Saver Day Pass for our transportation. It appears according to the transportation map that that ticket does not include all of the trip. Could you help me interpret the map. Would I be charged half fare or full fare for the Alpnachstad to Pilatus section (cogwheel Train?) and the Pilatus to Kriens section(gondolas and cableway?). I am trying to determine what our additional costs for an adult would be for the Pilatus Excursion, Golden Round Trip, and Silver Round Trip. I would appreciate any help and advice on making this trip in the most economical way. Also, we will only be in country for 2 days so some of the other multiday passes don't seem to be an economical advantage for us. Thanks
Hey @KarenHoodCompton
The saver day pass is valid until Alpnachstadt and Kriens. You pay the connection ticket at full price, if you don’t have a Half-Fare travelcard or a GA. The boat trip from Lucerne is included in the day ticket.
Here you can find an offer of 10% discount on the Gondola chairlift and cableway journey to Pilatus Kulm. https://freizeit.sbb.ch/storefront/search?query=Pilatus%20variante&banner=1&lang=en

Hi,
From an earlier reply, purchasing the Saver Day Pass will take me to/from Zurich-Luzern, and allow me to take the boat from Luzern HB to Alpnachstad. So if I purchase the Mt. Pilatus Excusrion: /Alpnachstad–Pilatus Kulm–Kriens/ - I can use the Saver Day pass to take the bus from Kriens back to Luzern HB? (all within 24 hours)
The arrival and return journey to Kriens/Alpnachstadt is included. Therefore the bus to Lucerne is also included.
Kind regards
