SBB Saver Day pass vs regular day pass

Hi everyone,

Is there any difference between the saber day pass and regular day pass offered by SBB? I just booked a ticket to Zurich and a saver day pass was 59CHF and the regular day pass was 75CHF. Looking at the SBB page, it seems that they offer the same thing, unlimited travel during thé booked day on all trains, busses, trams, boats... , within Switzerland.

Hello @Garaofsand

Thank you for your query.

The day pass for the Half-Fare travelcard (CHF 75.00) is only valid with a valid Half-Fare travelcard and can be purchased at any time. The Saver Day Pass is a discounted version available in different price levels and can be purchased 2 months until 1 day before the day of travel. The Saver Day Pass can be purchased with or without a Half-Fare Card. The difference is that this has a limited purchase period, different price levels, different exchange and refund conditions and may sell out quickly. You can also find all information online about both day passes:

I wish you a nice day.

Kind regards,
