Solved: RogF "Rabatt" nur mit Barzahlung - SBB CFF FFS Community

I head from my friend that he forgot to start Easy ride and almost got RogF.

At that time, he was proposed to pay 30 CHF with cash, or to get full price RogF. From his point it was just better to pay smaller, so he accepted the offer.

Is that some kind of official process, or more like a bribe? I'm just curious.

In this case your friend was lucky and met a conductor who has shown a lot of goodwill. Why the conductor decided this way depends on the situation; we cannot further comment it. It is, however, a legal and therefore accepted solution.

Folllwowing the official process, according to the tariff, your friend would have had to pay a surcharge of at least CHF 90 plus the ticket.
