Greetings. My husband and I made reservations for the Golden Pass Express train for 30 April 2023. It was originally scheduled to depart from Interlaken Ost but due to recently scheduled construction work, will now leave from Spiez. A replacement Post bus with limited seats is being provided from Interlaken Ost-Spiez. It is possible to buy bus tickets from the SBB website for that day, but with no guarantees of a seat on a particular bus and no seat reservation possible. Does anyone know how SBB/MOB/Postbus usually handles replacement buses for upwards of 200 passengers on a Sunday morning? Will there be enough buses to accommodate all the passengers? Will there be cargo areas for the luggage or will we board with our luggage at our seats or on our laps? Since scheduling our trip this past January, there have been a number of frustrating train changes and interruptions, including the construction work now scheduled between Interlaken and Grindelwald which will require replacement buses as well. Any information is greatly appreciated.
