Difference between IC and IR trains

If given the same amounts of travel time, should I choose a IC or IR train?  I think that the IR makes more stops, is that correct?  If that is true, an IC train would make more sense, right?  Thanks

Hi @SarahDouglasGracey

If the duration is the same, it doesn't matter which train you take. An IR train does not necessarily stop at more stations than the IC train.
