Carry On Luggage - Size Limit

SOLVED

What are the weight/dimension limits for carry on luggage?

I want to bring ski equipment (boot bag & skis) from Zurich airport to Zermatt Station.

The only information I could find on luggage requirements for station-station were for "checked" luggage: (https://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/before-your-journey/luggage/luggage/station-to-station.html).

Checked luggage seems like a bad option due to the 2 day delay ("You hand in your luggage at a station offering luggage shipping services in Switzerland, and collect it from your destination station in Switzerland two days later").

Can we carry-on ski equipment? If no, is there an alternative option where we could pick up ski equipment same-day as train ticket/ride?

Thank you!

Hello @rickSanchez

Thank you for your request.

You can of course take your skis with you by train. Please make sure that you do not block the passage for passengers.

We offer luggage transport, as you have already seen on our site. You can find all the information here: Station-to-station luggage | SBB

Have a nice day.
