Thursday 12 January, 2017, crossing the new Gotthard base tunnel, the longest train tunnel in the world! Wow, huh? In a luxurious ICN 683 train, first class! During the tunnel crossing, half of the time there was a strong cold, very annoying air draft in the cabin. The other half, a very bad, nauseous smell from the train's breaks. You know, that plastic-burning smell. In love with the Swiss train system, I was very sorry from this experience. I need safety and preserve my health. Now I have a headache from the nauseous smell. Would the SBB-CFF-FFS be willing to check this? This smell is regular in the ICN trains; inside the tunnel was really worst.
