The SBB Preview Community is being integrated into the “SBB Mobile” board.

The SBB Preview Community is being integrated into the “SBB Mobile” board.

The SBB Preview Community began with the launch of the Mobile Preview app in 2016. More than 10,000 users registered for the first version of the Community, and they reported bugs and generated ideas. These were incorporated into the development of the Mobile Preview app. A second stage saw the then independent Mobile Preview Community being merged with the SBB Community.

The Preview Communities become a useful feedback channel, particularly in the development phase. With the further progression of the Preview app and the integration of the tested features into the SBB Mobile app, it became apparent over time that feedback on the Preview app was and is increasingly being posted in the “SBB Mobile” forum area.

We have therefore decided to combine the discussions, questions, bug reports and suggestions for the SBB Preview app into the board “SBB Mobile” in the future.

The SBB Preview app for iOS and Android is being further developed. The features “Messages in the event of a breakdown” and “New touch timetable” are currently being tested exclusively in the SBB Preview app before these are launched on SBB Mobile.

More information is available at

What happens next?

The Mobile Preview Community will be changed to read only from 6 April to 30 April 2020. You can continue to read all content but you will no longer be able to make new posts or comments.

During this period and of course before, you can make posts and join in discussions on the SBB Preview app into the board “SBB Mobile”.

From 1 May, we will archive the Mobile Preview Community and move some of the content that is still relevant and valid to the “SBB Mobile” area if necessary.

Thank you!

We would like to thank all our users, who have actively participated in the further development of the SBB Preview app in the last few years with their posts, error reports and ideas.

You have created more than 500 posts, reported 80 bugs and submitted almost 50 ideas in the last 12 months alone. 👍

A special thank you to @Ex-Bähnler, @rwe, @UrsWolffers and all other committed contributors.

The SBB Preview app and the Mobile Community would not have been possible without @Railstof, @rdkay and the entire developer, product and supporter team in particular. Thank you very much, Christoph and Rainer.

We hope you continue to enjoy the SBB Community and we would like to thank you for your valuable engagement.

On behalf of the entire SBB Community team

Update 22.01.2018: The survey has been closed. Thank you very much for the great feedback! Smiley Happy

In the context of a master thesis, the student @TijanaK of the University of Fribourg has developed a questionnaire focusing on SBB’ Preview Communities. We support her project and kindly invite you to take part in the questionnaire.

The questionnaire should only take 5 minutes to complete. Your responses are completely anonymous, strictly confidential, and will be used only for academic purposes

A clean sweep: report faults and dirt quickly and easily.

Seat cushion damaged? Power socket not working? Faulty ticket machine or departure board? The new “Report fault” feature lets you report faults and dirt on trains and in stations quickly and easily in just a few clicks using your smartphone. The camera on your Android mobile will recognise the coach or ticket machine number automatically. Try it out and help make SBB cleaner and better every day.

Once a report has been received, it is passed on to the relevant team, who will do their utmost to fix the problem so that you, the customer, can enjoy clean stations and trains in perfect condition.

This is how easy it is:

The FAQs will give you answers to all the main questions about the feature.

Something not working? Or maybe you’ve got an idea for making our feature even better? Join the Community and write to us.

After a four-month pilot phase, we’ll be evaluating the feedback and input from the Preview Community on the feature and deciding whether to incorporate it into the SBB Mobile app.
