Use of Swiss Half Fare card after purchasing of full price tickets

Hi. I have already bought a few saver day train tickets at their full price. If I now decided to buy the Swiss Half Fare card, can I still apply the Swiss Half Fare card and how do I get the half price refund of those full price tickets that I had bought?

Saver Day Passes can be refunded only in the following exceptional cases at a staffed point of sale or via the online form below. A fee of CHF 10 is retained in each case.

  • multiple identical Saver Day Passes purchased;
  • Saver Day Passes purchased for the wrong customer group;
  • inability to travel (illness, accident). Only with a medical certificate;
  • Saver Day Passes with obviously incorrect personal details;
  • Saver Day Passes accidentally selected for the wrong date (error when selecting ticket): a refund is only possible before the Saver Day Pass’s travel date. You must be able to prove that you have purchased a new ticket;
  • refund after subsequent purchase of personal travelcards (refund without an administration fee);
  • in the event of the death of the passenger.
