Pausing halbtax??

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to pause the halbtax?
I moved away from Switzerland for a period of time, will come back in winter. Would be nice if I can pause and start using it then again..

No, it is never possible to pausing the half-fare travel card. If you travel for example twice from Bern to Zurich HB then you‘ve already profited of this offer. That‘s the reason why the Half-Fare Travel Card is always valid for 1 year. 

On the other hand the general season abonnement you can pausing for max. 30 days in a GA year.
